The ALGANT Graduation is a three-day event that has been taking place
in July since 2007. This 18th
Graduation, which took place in Leiden, consisted of
24 master
presentations on July 10 and 11, a consortium meeting of all
staff, and a boat trip on the lakes and canals outside Leiden.
Ceremony
On Friday July 12, the festive graduation ceremony took place in the
Groot Auditorium of
the Academy
Building of Leiden University. All students were awarded ALGANT
Diplomas by various professors of the consortium. Kees Heesterbeek
and Miriam Ni Chobhthaigh shared their student experience, and 20th
anniversary invited speakers Hendrik Lenstra (Leiden), Jan Vonk
(Leiden), Kevin Destagnol (Paris) and Johannes Sprang (Essen)
reflected on the past and future of ALGANT.
